Use climate-adjusted days to maturity in a planting
Open the Game PlanTurn on climate-adjusted days to maturity in a planting of your Game Plan. Its first harvest date then follows your climate, and moves with the planting when you change its date.
Open the planting
In your Game Plan, create a planting or open one you already have. The Game Plan guides show how. Stay on the Planting Details tab.
Turn on the switch
In the Harvest Period section, turn on Use climate-adjusted DTM. Heirloom reads the crop’s curve at the week of your Field planting date, fills Days to maturity with that number and locks the field. The First harvest moves to match.

Move the planting, the harvest follows
Change the field planting date, or drag the planting in the Game Plan: Heirloom recalculates the days to maturity for the new week. In a succession, each planting gets the days to maturity of its own date, so your April and July sowings of the same crop no longer share one number.
Turn it off
Turn the switch off and the days to maturity go back to the number the planting had before, which you can edit again.
When the switch is greyed out
Hover the switch to read why. Your farm’s latitude and longitude are missing from Settings, General; the crop has no temperature ranges yet; the crop cannot reach maturity in your climate; or the crop has no row in your Charts.
Know how it works with the rest of your plan
When you change the days to maturity of several plantings at once, the ones using climate-adjusted days to maturity keep theirs; Heirloom tells you how many. When you update plantings from Charts, they are recalculated from the new average.
A yellow message may appear under the switch. See Understand the "Outside optimal period" warning.
