What's new in Heirloom

August 2026

New

Search finds cultivars too. In the Crop Library, search now looks through crop names, botanical families and cultivar names at once. Type a variety you remember from a seed catalogue and its crop comes up, with the matching cultivars listed under it; results are sorted by Relevance.

Fixes

  • Crop Map: a planting no longer disappears, or gets saved in the wrong bed, when Heirloom refuses a drop.
  • Crop Map: a bed is now counted as taken only while the planting is in the ground, so free beds show up where they really are.
  • Crop Map: a planting edited to a bigger amount stays in its bed instead of jumping elsewhere.
  • Panels stay open when you pick a date in a date picker.

July 2026

Improvements

Default dates that fit your farm. When you add a planting in the Game Plan, Heirloom now proposes dates inside the crop’s good sowing window for your frost dates, in the season you are looking at. In hot climates, where the best window runs over the new year, the proposed dates follow it instead of jumping a year ahead.

Favorite crops everywhere. The Charts quick filter is now called Favorite crops, and the Getting Started step asks you to Choose a favorite crop: the same favorites you keep in the Crop Library.

Filters panel with the quick filters Favorite crops and Non-empty rows and the crop types
Keep only the crops you grow on screen

  • Sales Channels: Hide disabled keeps the channels you no longer use out of the way.
  • The Game Plan menu is now called Actions.
  • The cultivar list of the planting form is sorted alphabetically.
  • The seed order export gives the seed weight and its unit in two columns, easier to sort and sum in a spreadsheet.

Fixes

  • Climate-adjusted days to maturity now read the curve at the right week of the year.
  • Farms that had no weather history get it back, so climate-adjusted days to maturity work for them too.
  • The Game Plan keeps its scroll position when you jump to a planting.
  • Opening a chart link from the planting form no longer resets the form.

June 2026

New

Favorites for your season. Mark the crops and cultivars you actually grow as favorites in the Crop Library, then show only them with Favorites only. Your favorite cultivars come first when you pick one in a planting, so the list stays short.

Crop cards with a filled bookmark on the favorites and an empty one on the others
A filled bookmark marks this season’s crops

A crop panel with what you need to know. Open a crop to read About this crop, see its cultivars with the seed companies that offer them (Offered by), and start a planting with Create planting. From a planting’s panel you can open its crop’s panel on top, and go back without losing your place.

Beginning year of a field block. Each field block and greenhouse now shows the season it starts in, and you can change its Beginning year. Heirloom warns you before a later start year unassigns earlier plantings.

Improvements

  • Crops and cultivars from an earlier version of the catalogue carry a Legacy badge that explains which one to use now.
  • Crop Library: filter on several crop types at once, and sort by Number of active plantings.
  • Duplicating a season into an earlier year now rebuilds that year’s farm, blocks and tunnels included.

New

Recurring tasks. In the mobile app, a new task can repeat At a regular interval or on Specific days of the week, until the end date you choose: watering the nursery, checking the irrigation, the Friday market prep. When you delete or assign one, Heirloom asks whether it applies to This task only or to All tasks in this series.

  • Creating a task in the mobile app is organised in tabs (General, Assignations, Recurrence, Notes), with its location and estimated time.
  • Need a task that is not in your list? Create it on the spot with New task.
  • In the Charts Tasks chart, a repeating crop task can now run Until transplanted or direct seeded, Until ready to harvest or Until harvested.

Place a planting on its beds from the planting window. The planting window has a Crop Map tab: pick the block and the starting bed, and see right away the beds it takes, without leaving the Game Plan.

Improvements

A clearer Notes page. Pick a note in the list to read it on the right, then switch to editing only when you want to change it.

  • Game Plan: a warning shows on a planting that starts late for its crop, and the planting form timeline now spans two years for long crops.
  • Mobile: pinch to zoom on note photos, and swipe from one photo to the next.
  • Mobile: the season selector shows the dates each season covers.

New

Dark mode. Easier on the eyes when you plan at night. Switch it from your profile menu with Toggle appearance, on the web; the mobile app has it too.

Game Plan by location. The Game Plan can now group your plantings by block with the Locations view, and filter on the blocks you choose: handy to see everything that goes into one greenhouse.

View menu of the Game Plan with Crops, Dates, Locations and the display options for states, months, frosts and used space
Change the view and choose what the timeline shows

Improvements

  • Mobile: each planting has a Notes tab with its own notes and the notes of its crop, and Create note right there.
  • Mobile: an unplanned harvest can be recorded on any planting, with All plantings, Active plantings and Harvest-Ready Plantings to narrow the list, and Heirloom stops a harvest from being entered twice.
  • Weekly Harvests: Harvest-Ready Plantings shows only the plantings inside their harvest window, and Filter harvested plantings hides the ones already done.

Fixes

  • An interplanted planting no longer unassigns the plantings that share its beds.
  • Exports come out in the language of your app.
  • Adding or removing a repeat on a crop task in the planting form works again.

April 2026

New

Seed companies. Pick the seed companies you buy from, and your cultivar lists show their varieties instead of every cultivar in the world. Heirloom starts you with the companies that serve your country; add your local supplier as your own company, link it to your cultivars, or ask us to add one with Request a seed company. In the Crop Library, filter cultivars by seed company.

Improvements

  • Nursery containers: hide the trays you never use with Hide container, and find them again with Show hidden.
  • Weekly Harvests: the table has pages, and a filter to show all plantings, the active ones, or only those with something to harvest.
  • Crop Map: a counter shows how many plantings are assigned out of the total; click it to open the list of plantings to place.

Learn more: Choose your seed companies

New

Multi-edit in the Game Plan. Select several plantings, choose a value under Select value to edit (days to maturity, spacing, price, number of containers and more), and Apply: one change instead of ten. Heirloom offers only the values the selected plantings share.

Multi-edit window with two lettuce plantings selected and days to maturity chosen as the value to change
One value changed on every selected planting

Improvements

  • Crop Map printing: choose High Quality or Medium Quality; medium generates the images faster.
  • Empty pages now tell you what to do first and link you to it, from the Dashboard to the Nursery.
  • Changing a task’s completion date that would push a planting off its beds now warns you before unassigning it.
  • Unassigning a planting carried over from the previous season asks first, since it also leaves last season’s map.

New

The planting panel. Open a planting to see everything about it in one place: Information (spacing, nursery, expected yield and revenue), Tasks with their completion dates, Notes for the planting and its crop, and Harvests. Tick a step when it is done and the plan follows.

Tunnels. Add your caterpillar, mini and high tunnels on the Farm Map, each over a range of beds of a field block. The Crop Map draws them over their beds, with the beds kept free beside them, and filters plantings meant for a tunnel.

Block B8 with a caterpillar tunnel on beds 1 to 4, a high tunnel on beds 6 to 9 and bed 5 disabled between them

Undo in the Game Plan. Moved a planting by mistake? Click Undo in the message, or press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac).

History of your blocks. The edit window of a field block or greenhouse has a History tab listing the changes made to it, season by season. A block you delete can be archived for this season or deleted across all seasons, and an archived block can be restored.

Improvements

  • Mobile: the Tasks screen has a week view.
  • The planting export has one column per detail (crop, cultivar, location, amount, beds), with units in the headers.
  • Crop Map print images are sharper.
  • If you scroll away from your blocks on the Crop Map, View Crop Map brings you back.

Fixes

  • The Crop Map shows the right dates in a planting’s interval.
  • Sales Channels show every harvest day that holds a quantity.
  • Harvest values edited on mobile update right away.

March 2026

New

Revenue in Season Harvests. Next to projected and recorded yields, Season Harvests can now show Projected Revenue and Recorded Harvest Revenue, with a total row at the bottom. Turn the columns on in the options, along with the difference between projection and harvest and rounded values. The export includes them.

Hide money values from a teammate. In Team, choose for each person whether they see your prices and revenue. Your crew sees quantities and tasks; the numbers stay with you.

Improvements

  • The AI assistant knows which page you are on, so its answers start from what you are looking at.
  • Editing rows in the Charts is smoother.

February 2026

New

Names and beds on the Farm Map. Show block names and the bed layout on the aerial view with Display block names and Display bed layout. The Growing locations list and the new creation window let you create several numbered blocks at once.

A Crop Map without page limits. The Crop Map is now an open canvas: scroll and zoom freely. Print by choosing a Paper Size, from Letter to A0, then Generate Images.

Money in Weekly Harvests. The Weekly Harvests table shows the total value of the week next to the quantities, with each planting’s location. The export adds the totals.

Improvements

  • Print a task’s details with Print from the task.
  • Seeders in the Charts now take a seeding Depth.

New

Locked dates. In the planting form, click the lock next to a date to keep it fixed: change the days to maturity and the other dates move around it. Plan backward from a first market or the first week of your baskets.

Block informations and crop families history. On the Crop Map, Block informations shows a block’s beds, their length and width and the path width, and Crop families history lists what grew in each bed, season after season. Set the Rotation cycle in years of each family in Farm data.

Crop families history of a block, season by season, with the families grown in each bed

Print the Week Board. Take the week’s tasks to the field on paper, where the signal does not reach.

Improvements

  • The Crop Map remembers your zoom and position for each season.
  • Each crop has a Nutrient demand, from None to High, that you can set on your own crops.
  • Game Plan: sort by implantation, nursery or harvest date, or by successions, and filter on Planting methods. From the dates view, start a new succession by choosing its crop.
  • Editing a whole succession warns you that it can override changes made to single plantings.
  • Mobile: delete a harvest entered by mistake.

January 2026

New

The Nursery page. Heirloom reads your Game Plan and shows, week by week, how much nursery space your seedlings will take against the surface of your propagation tables. See the crunch weeks months ahead, while there is still time to move a sowing or set up an overflow table.

  • Enter your nursery space once for the season.
  • The weekly graph compares the space needed with your space.
  • The containers table gives the peak number of each tray size you will need, and how many are in use now.

Improvements

  • Week Board: Hide Saturday & Sunday in the Display options.
  • Game Plan: View by crops or dates, independently of the sort order.
  • Charts: Non-empty rows hides the crops you have no data for.

Fixes

  • Seed and container counts are right for plantings grown in containers.
  • Deleting a whole season with more than a thousand plantings works.

December 2025

New

Clear all plantings. Starting a season over no longer means deleting plantings one by one. In the Game Plan, Clear all plantings removes every succession of the season and what comes with it, and shows you first which items will be affected, so you know exactly what you are clearing.

Affiliates. If you like Heirloom, you can now recommend it with your own link, in the new Affiliates tab of Settings.

Improvements

  • The transplants you buy can be listed by crop or by date, so the order for each week is easy to read.
  • Crop short names can now be 3 or 4 characters long.
  • In Charts, a note explains that a value set on the generic cultivar applies to every cultivar that has no value of its own.

Fixes

  • Interplanted plantings are no longer counted in your used space, and no longer flagged as overlapping their main crop.
  • Fixed invalid dates in the Game Plan and a Dashboard error around the turn of the year.
  • The weather forecast now respects your temperature unit.

New

Interplanting. Basil between your tomatoes, radishes in the carrot bed: you can now plan a companion crop in the same bed as a main crop. Mark the companion as Interplanted: it shares the bed on your Crop Map without taking the main crop’s space or pushing other plantings aside.

  • Highlight interplanted plantings in the Crop Map options shows your companions at a glance.
  • When several plantings share a spot, Select Planting lets you pick the one you want.
  • Interplanted plantings also show on the Crop Map of the mobile app.

The basil shares the tomato beds without taking their space

Container growing. A new planting method for crops you grow and sell in pots or trays, such as seedlings for your plant sale. In Charts > Crop yield, the Nursery Harvest tab gives each crop a Yield / Container and a Revenue / Container, so these sales count in your season’s revenue.

Improvements

  • Choose your Temperature unit in Settings, whatever your measurement system.
  • The Week Board shows the total Estimated time of each day’s tasks.
  • Harvest dates now show their week number.
  • Delete a block straight from the top bar of the Farm Map.
  • Create new item from copy in Charts starts a new row from an existing one.

Fixes

  • Crop yield values display correctly in imperial units.
  • Days to maturity curves recalculate correctly when you change a days to maturity value.

November 2025

New

Charts, rebuilt. The charts that hold your spacing, days to maturity, nursery and yield values are now faster tables you edit in place. Search a crop, narrow the list with Quick filters or by planting method, and open a crop to see its cultivars.

  • Edit a row directly in the table, then save or cancel it.
  • In Crop yield, Chart Settings lets you set the Bed reference length, so yields and revenue per bed read on the bed length you think in.

Fixes

  • In the planting window, changing the harvest unit no longer resets the seeds unit.
  • The Workload Graph no longer counts cancelled plantings.

New

Climate-adjusted days to maturity. A carrot sown in May does not take as long as one sown in August. Heirloom now adjusts days to maturity to your farm’s own climate, day length included, week by week, so your harvest dates are closer to what your field will really do.

  • Turn on Use climate-adjusted DTM in the planting window; the days to maturity then follow the planting date.
  • A message warns you when a planting is outside its optimal growing period.
  • Each crop’s curve is in Charts. It follows your farm’s location, set in Settings > General.

The days to maturity now follow the field planting date

Improvements

  • Filter the Game Plan by Crops to see only the crops you are working on.
  • The AI assistant has a Clear chat button to start a fresh conversation.

October 2025

New

Dashboard. Your farm at a glance, in two ready-made dashboards: Weekly operation for the day-to-day (daily tasks, the week’s weather, a notepad) and Yearly planning for the season (planned plantings, estimated revenue, crops distribution, used space). Switch between them from the top left.

  • Edit layout to move, resize, add or remove widgets and keep what matters to you on top.
  • The Notepad keeps a quick thought; Convert to note turns it into a real note.

Farm areas on the Farm Map. Draw each of your fields as a farm area on the aerial view, name it, and jump from one to another with View farm area, handy when you farm more than one site. Blocks now move and rotate directly on the map.

Each field as its own farm area, with its blocks

Improvements

  • Remove Recurrence turns a recurring task back into a single one.
  • The mobile task list hides cancelled tasks.

September 2025

New

Notes. Aphids on the greenhouse lettuce, a cultivar worth growing again: write it down where it belongs. A note can hold photos and be linked to plantings, crops, blocks and tags, so you find it again from the planting itself. Pin the ones that matter, keep some private, archive the rest, and search or filter them in a few keystrokes.

Notes and the Crop Map on the mobile app. Take a note with your phone’s camera right in the field, and open the Crop Map to see what is growing where, zoom in and tap a planting for its details. Both work offline.

Tablets. The mobile app now runs on iPad and Android tablets, with larger text and a layout that uses the bigger screen.

Improvements

  • Export your tasks for selected crops and locations only.
  • Filter the Week Board, and the task list of the mobile app, by crop and by block.

August 2025

New

Excel export. Download your Direct seeding, Transplantation, Nursery and Crop yield charts as an Excel file, for all crops or only the ones you selected. Handy to review your numbers on paper, share them with your team or keep a record of a season.

Improvements

  • In Charts > Tasks, the default time of a task updates as soon as you change it.
  • Help and support now sit in the top bar, always one click away.

New

Recurring tasks. Weeding every ten days until harvest no longer means ten tasks to create. In Charts > Tasks, set how often a crop’s task repeats and until which stage of the planting; every new planting of that crop then gets the whole series on the right dates, and it moves with the planting.

Plantings in the mobile app. See each planting of the season on your phone, with its progress through nursery, growth and harvest, its dates, cultivar, planting method and location, and what it is expected to yield and earn. It works offline too.

July 2025

New

Overlapping plantings detected. When you drag a planting in the Game Plan, change its dates or edit a succession, Heirloom now checks whether it would share a bed with another planting at the same time. If it does, it tells you which plantings are affected and offers two choices: keep this planting and unassign the others, or unassign this one. No more double-booked beds on the Crop Map.

A Crop Map that stays up to date. When a teammate, or you in another tab, changes a planting, the Crop Map updates without a refresh.

Fixes

  • Fewer false overlap warnings on plantings that exactly fill a bed.
  • Sign-in on the mobile app is smoother, and the keyboard closes after a wrong password.

New

Offline mode. Heading to a field with no signal? Download your data from the mobile app’s settings before you go, keep your tasks and harvests at hand out there, and the app syncs when you are back in range. A notice tells you when you are offline and when you are back online.

A home screen on the mobile app. Open the app to the week’s weather, your tasks, today’s harvests and your sales channels, in widgets you can choose and reorder. Reset home screen widgets in Settings brings back the default layout.

Improvements

  • The peak period staffing estimate of My Workload Graph is now closer to a market gardener’s real week in season.
  • A clear message when a subscription has expired, instead of a blocked app.

June 2025

New

Workload in hours. Under Tasks, My Workload Graph now has a View by hour next to View by planting amount: the hours your plan asks for, week by week and by type of work. Above the graph, Season total, Average per week and Peak week sum up the season, and Peak period staffing estimates how many people you need over your busiest weeks, so you can hire before the rush instead of during it.

Task times from your Charts. The times you set in the Tasks chart of your Charts now apply to the planting, nursery and harvest tasks of each crop. Leave a time blank or at 0 and Heirloom uses the default time of that task type. Tasks now show their Estimated time, including when you add one by hand.

Improvements

  • The nursery task export now includes the location and beds of each planting.

Fixes

  • Season dates are right again for farms in the southern hemisphere.
  • The estimated revenue percentage on the Dashboard is correct again.

Learn more: How can I see my workload?

May 2025

New

Crop families. Every crop in the Crop Library now belongs to a botanical family, and you can pick the family of your own crops. On the Crop Map, turn on Display by crop family color in the options to see your rotation at a glance: two brassicas in a row stand out at once.

Crop Map coloured by crop family, each bar in the colour of its botanical family
Two brassicas in a row stand out at once

  • In Farm data, the crop families table lets you change a family’s colour, create your own and reset one to its default.
  • The Crop Library shows each crop’s family under its name, sorts by Crop families and finds crops by family in the search.

Rest a field block for a season. On the Farm Map, switch off Active this season on a field block or greenhouse you leave fallow this year. It stays on the map but no longer counts as available space in that season’s planning, and previous seasons are not affected.

Improvements

  • Export your tasks for a date Range or for one specific week.
  • Once a planting has started, it can be canceled but no longer deleted, so its history stays in your plan.

Fixes

  • The optimal seeder density on direct seeding tasks is right again, in metric and imperial units.
  • Harvest tasks no longer disappear from the task list.
  • Growers outside North America no longer see weekly harvests land on the previous day.
  • Changing a planting from transplanting to purchased transplants with potting up now removes the tasks it no longer needs.

Learn more: Check your crop rotation

New

Cancel a planting. When a sowing fails or you change your mind, use Cancel planting instead of deleting it. A canceled planting stays on your Game Plan as a reference for next winter’s planning, but no longer counts in your expected yields and revenue. Its tasks are canceled with it, and Restore planting brings everything back.

  • In the task list, the Canceled tasks filter shows or hides the tasks of canceled plantings.
  • Canceled tasks are included in the task export.

Weather forecast on the Week Board. The Week Board now shows the forecast for your farm on each day of the week, so you can plan transplanting, seeding and harvests around the rain.

April 2025

New

Spanish and German. Heirloom is now available in Spanish and German, alongside English and French. Choose your language and the app and your exports follow, so everyone on your team can work in their own language.

Improvements

  • Display current date line on the Crop Map draws today’s date across your blocks, to see at a glance what should be in the ground now.
  • The task export now includes the notes of each planting.

March 2025

New

Auto-Fill your frost dates. In your farm settings and when you set up a new farm, Auto-Fill estimates your last and first light and hard frost dates from ten years of weather data at your address, with the seasons flipped for the southern hemisphere. Check them against what you know of your land and correct them if needed; Revert to suggested dates brings the estimate back.

Your last spring frosts, hard then light

Season Harvests in Excel. Export your season’s harvests to an Excel file, projected and recorded week by week, with the same filters as the screen, to review the season or share it with your team.

Improvements

  • Seasons now follow real calendar weeks, including years with 53 weeks.
  • Settings now group Farm settings and Farm data in their own menu.

Fixes

  • The seed count is right again when an open tray is chosen as nursery container.
  • Dragging a planting on the Crop Map works on very small blocks and blocks with partial beds.
  • If a payment fails, the subscription page now says so and asks you to update your payment method.

February 2025

New

Team. Invite the people who work with you to your farm and give each one a role: Owner, Administrator, Crew manager, Crew member or Reader. Each role sees and changes only what it should, so a crew member can tick off tasks without touching your crop plan or your billing.

Understand roles window describing the five roles, from Owner to Reader

Assign tasks. Put a name on a task with Assign to, and filter the task list on Assigned to me to see only your own work. Assignments are included in the task export.

Several farms, one login. From Manage farms, create a new farm, join a farm you were invited to and switch between farms. My Farms lists every farm you belong to with your role in each.

Improvements

  • Change the colour of a crop.
  • Add a photo or logo for your farm.
  • Set a cultivar’s seed weight as a weight per 1,000 seeds or a number of seeds per unit, to match your seed packet.
  • Filter the task list on planting tasks, irrigation or other tasks.
  • The Crop Map asks for confirmation before unassigning every planting from a block.

Fixes

  • The number of seeds for direct seeding is right again.
  • Nursery container counts are no longer rounded up.
  • Harvest estimates are right when a short harvest window spans two weeks.
  • Moving a planting on the Crop Map now updates its tasks.

December 2024

New

AI assistant. Ask how to do something in Heirloom, in your own words and in your language, and get an answer right where you are working, without leaving the page or waiting for support. Check an answer that looks off, and keep writing to support for anything it cannot solve.

Seeds safety margin in your Charts. Set the extra seeds you sow to cover losses once per crop or cultivar, in the direct seeding and transplant charts. Every new planting starts with your margin, so your seed and transplant counts match how you really work.

Improvements

Notifications. A bell in the top bar tells you about new features and release notes, so you know what changed without looking for it.

Task notes at a glance. In the task List and on the Week Board, a task that carries a note shows a small note icon. Hover over it to read the instructions before heading to the field.

Fixes

  • The Game Plan export works again.
  • Apply to existing plantings in your Charts updates your plantings as expected.
  • Seed counts use the safety margin correctly.

New

Farm data. A new Farm data section holds the details that belong to your farm. It starts with Nursery containers: click Add container for a tray or pot Heirloom does not have, such as a 200-cell tray, with its Number of cells. It then shows up in your plantings’ container list, so your tray and seed counts follow the trays you actually own.

Today line on the Game Plan. A line marks today across the timeline, so you see at a glance which plantings should already be in the ground and what comes next.

Improvements

Location type in the planting panel. The panel that opens when you click a planting now shows whether it is in the field, a greenhouse or a tunnel.

Improvements

Plantings that do not fill whole beds. You can now place a planting on beds that already hold another one, even when it spans several beds. Two plantings of 1.5 beds each fit side by side on 3 consecutive beds, the way you would lay them out in the field.

Fixes

  • Several Crop Map fixes when placing and moving plantings.
  • Weekly availability in Weekly Harvests is calculated correctly again.

New

Custom crops. When a crop you grow is missing from the Crop Library, click Create crop and add it with its type, its name and a 3-letter short name. You can then plan it like any other crop, instead of borrowing a look-alike.

Save a planting’s values to your Charts. When you enter new values in a planting, Heirloom offers to save them to your Charts, so the next planting of that crop starts from your own figures.

Apply to existing plantings. After changing a row in your Charts, use Apply to existing plantings to send the new values to the plantings already in your plan, instead of editing them one by one.

Improvements

Filter the Game Plan by location. The Planting locations filter keeps only the plantings of the field, the greenhouse or a tunnel, handy when you plan one space at a time.

Week numbers in the date picker. Planting dates now show the week number, for growers who plan by week.

October 2024

New

Notes on tasks. Add a note to a task in the task chart of your Charts, or in the Tasks tab of a planting, for the instructions your team needs, such as a row cover to set or a spacing to respect.

Export the week’s harvests. In Weekly Harvests, the download button exports the week to an Excel file, to print for the field or send to the packing shed.

Improvements

Harvests in the workload graph. Your harvests now count in the workload graph of Tasks, so the weeks of heavy picking show up before you are in them.

Fixes

  • A sales channel’s end date must now come after its start date.
  • Fixes to the Crop Map panel, where a crop’s picture and height were off.

New

Highlight active plantings. In the Crop Map options, Highlight active plantings brings forward the plantings in the ground now, so you see what is growing where without reading every bar.

Help on every page. How to use this page? in the top bar opens the guide for the screen you are on.

Improvements

  • The Crop Map planting panel has a search bar and Expand All / Collapse All, to find a planting quickly in a long list.
  • Dragging plantings on the Crop Map works better on tablets and iPads.
  • In Weekly Harvests, a cell turns yellow when your customers’ quantities add up to more than the planting’s availability. Hover over it to compare.
  • All sales channels lets you see every customer’s harvests together, and pick one to edit its quantities.

Fixes

  • Several fixes in Weekly Harvests and Sales Channels.
  • Fixes to logging in and page redirections.

New

Season Harvests. A new tab shows your whole season week by week, for each crop and planting: what Heirloom projected, what you recorded and the difference. You see which crops give less than planned, and can adjust their yields for next season.

  • A message guides you to create your first sales channel when Weekly Harvests is still empty.

A clearer Weekly Harvests page. Your plantings and what they can give stay on the left, your quantities on the right. Choose how you split the week in View by: the Sales channel view shows one customer at a time, handy to fill a restaurant order; the Week days view shows one day at a time, handy to prepare the day’s picking list.

Harvests. A new module turns your Game Plan into a weekly picking list: what each planting can give this week, and how much goes to each customer, on each harvest day.

  • Sales Channels: one per outlet, such as your Saturday market, your CSA or a restaurant, with the months it runs and the days you harvest for it.
  • Weekly Harvests: enter the quantity for each customer and harvest day. Heirloom estimates what each planting can give from its expected yield and harvest window.
  • Harvest tasks: each quantity lands in the harvest task of that planting and day in Tasks, with the Total to harvest.
  • Set as harvested once the harvest is in the crate, from Weekly Harvests or by checking off the task.

New

Your own tasks in Charts. In the tasks chart, use Create task to add the jobs your farm really does, with a name, a type, a category and a description. You can also add your own description to the existing tasks.

  • Tasks marked Crop associated can be used in the tasks chart for any crop.
  • General tasks are not tied to a planting and can be linked to a location, like mowing the paths or cleaning the wash station.
  • Set the time a task takes, in Minutes, once for the whole farm. Every crop uses it by default, and you can still change it for a single crop.

One-off tasks in the Tasks List. Add a task straight to your Tasks List for something that only happens once. It stays put and does not follow your planting schedule.

Give feedback or report a bug. The Help menu now has Give feedback and Report a bug, so you can tell us what gets in your way without leaving the app.

Improvements

  • Successions can now be spaced in days, not only in weeks.
  • Many more currencies are available in your farm settings. Write to us if yours is still missing.
  • Add a missing cultivar right from the planting form, without leaving your Game Plan.
  • Dashboard figures load faster and stay in step with your plan.

  • Several small Crop Map glitches with plantings in the side panel are fixed.

New

See where each planting stands. Every planting now has a state: Planned, Nursery sowed, Direct sowed, Transplanted, Ready to harvest or Harvested. Show it on the Game Plan from the view menu (the eye button), and use the Planting states filter to list, say, everything still waiting to be transplanted.

Your plan follows what really happened. When you complete a nursery sowing, a direct seeding or a transplant task, the planting takes that real date, and its later tasks and harvest window move with it. You can also enter the completion date from the planting preview in the Game Plan. A date set by a completed task is locked, so your record of the season stays true.

Improvements

  • The Game Plan export keeps your current sort order and now includes the harvest window.
  • The Tasks List export can include Overdue tasks when you pick a week.
  • You can change your account email address in your settings.

New

Apply chart values to plantings already in your plan. Changed a spacing, a nursery time or a yield in Charts? Open the menu at the end of the crop’s line and apply the new values to that crop’s plantings for the season, instead of editing them one by one. It works for the direct seeding, transplant, nursery and yield charts.

  • Reset line values and Restore to default values bring a line back to Heirloom’s values.
  • Delete row removes a cultivar line you no longer need.
