Organize your notes with tags, pins and archives

Open Notes
1 minute

Group your notes by topic with tags, keep what matters at the top, keep a note to yourself, and put away what is settled without losing it.

Tag your notes by topic

At the bottom of a note you are editing, click Add tag. Pick a tag from the list, or type a new one, such as Pests, and click Create "Pests". Tags are shared by the whole farm, so your team sorts notes with the same words. To rename a tag, use Edit tag in the same list.

Tag list open under a note, with existing tags and the option to create a new tag named Pests
Type a new word to create the tag on the spot

Pin what matters

The pin icon (Pin) keeps a note at the top of the list, for everyone. The Favorites filter shows only pinned notes. Click the icon again to unpin.

Keep a note private

The lock icon (Make private) hides the note from the rest of your team: only you can see it. A small lock marks it in the list. Make public shares it again.

Archive what is settled

The archive icon (Archive) takes the note out of your list without deleting it. To see it again, turn on the Archived filter; open it and click the icon again (Unarchive) to bring it back.

Next: find a note in seconds.
