Manage your plantings

Open the Game Plan
2 minutes

A season never goes exactly as planned. Open, move, duplicate, cancel or delete a planting right on the Game Plan, or change several at once, and Heirloom keeps their tasks in step.

Open a planting

Click a planting’s bar. A panel opens on the right with its Information, Tasks, Harvests and Notes. Under Quick actions, tick a step when it is done, such as the nursery sowing or the transplantation: the planting’s state moves forward and the matching task is completed.

Move it by dragging

Drag the bar left or right: the planting moves week by week, and its tasks move with it. Once a step is done, its date is set by the day you completed it and can no longer move, but you can still move the steps that follow.

Moved it by mistake? Click Undo in the message that appears, or press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac). Undo also brings back a planting you just duplicated, cancelled or deleted.

Edit, duplicate, cancel or delete

Right-click a bar to open its menu: Edit Planting, Duplicate planting, Cancel planting and Delete planting. Duplicating is the fastest way to add a second planting of the same crop: duplicate it, then drag the copy to its weeks.

Cancel rather than delete when a crop fails

When hail, a late frost or flea beetles take a planting, choose Cancel planting and write why. The planting stays in your plan as a record, but it no longer counts in your expected yields. Next winter, you will see what failed and why when you plan again. Restore planting brings it back.

Delete planting removes the planting and its tasks for good. Keep it for a planting you entered by mistake.

Change several plantings at once

Open Actions, then Multi-edit, and tick the plantings to change. Click Multi-edit in the bar that appears, choose a value under Select value to edit, such as the days to maturity or the price, then Apply. Only the values the selected plantings have in common are offered, and a change that makes plantings overlap on the Crop Map takes them off their beds.
