Plan a succession
Open the Game PlanA succession is the same crop planted again every few weeks, so you harvest lettuce every week instead of all at once. Heirloom creates all the plantings in one go and keeps them together as a group.
Start as for a single planting
Click Add planting(s), choose the crop and fill in Planting Details as in Add a planting. The Field planting date you enter is the date of the first planting.
Set the number and the interval
Enter the Number of plantings and choose the Time between plantings, from 0 to 10 days or from 1 to 10 weeks. The line below sums it up, for example 5 plantings of 1 bed each, and the panel on the left shows the total beds, yield and revenue of the whole succession.

A rule of thumb from the market gardener method: keep the time between plantings no longer than the harvest window, so each planting takes over from the one before without a gap at market.
Each planting is the first one moved later by the interval: its nursery sowing, its planting date and its tasks all shift together. They share the same days to maturity, unless climate-adjusted DTM is on, which adjusts each planting to its time of year.
See the succession on your plan
Click Create. The plantings line up under the crop, one bar per planting, a few weeks apart. Sort by Successions keeps each group together.

Place the plantings on your beds
When you create several plantings at once, the window has no Crop Map tab: place them afterwards on the Crop Map, where you see every bed and every week.
Edit the whole group or one planting
To change every planting of the succession, right-click one of its bars, then choose Edit Plantation Group. Heirloom warns you that a change to the succession can override what you changed on a single planting. To change one planting only, click its bar and edit that planting instead.

To move the whole succession later or earlier, right-click one of its plantings, choose Select all group to drag, then drag.
