Plan the week’s harvests

Open Harvests
2 minutes

Pick a week, see what each planting can give, and split it between your customers, day by day. Heirloom creates the harvest tasks for your team and warns you before you promise more than the field has.

Choose the week

Open the Weekly Harvests tab and pick the week in the week selector. Only the sales channels that run that week, and are enabled, show up.

Read what each planting can give

On the left, your crops and their plantings. Harvest progress shows how much of the planting’s expected yield is already harvested, with a lighter part for harvests planned but not done. Availability is what Heirloom expects the planting to give this week.

Open Filters to show All plantings, Active plantings or only Harvest-Ready Plantings, the ones inside their harvest window. Filter harvested plantings hides the ones that are finished.

Choose how you split the week

Open View by. Sales channel view shows one customer at a time, with a column for each of its harvest days: handy to fill a restaurant order. Week days view shows one day at a time, with a column for each customer harvested that day: handy to prepare the day’s picking list.

Enter the quantities

Click a cell on a planting’s row and type the quantity, in the planting’s harvest unit. Heirloom creates the harvest task for that planting on that day, in Tasks, and adds each customer’s share to it. Empty a cell to remove that share.

The last row gives the value of each column, at the price of each planting in your Game Plan.

Watch the availability warning

When your customers’ quantities add up to more than the planting’s availability, the cell turns yellow. Hover over it to compare the two. Lower a quantity, spread it over another planting, or check the field.

Correct the availability

Heirloom spreads a planting’s yield evenly over its harvest window, but the field does not always follow. Click the availability and type what you really see in the bed. The correction holds for this planting and this week only. The Reset to planning value button next to it brings back Heirloom’s figure.

Share the list

The download button exports the week to an Excel file, to print for the field or send to the packing shed.
