Forecast your nursery space and trays
Open the NurserySpot the week your nursery overflows before spring, and know how many trays of each size to have on the shelf. Heirloom reads it all from the plantings in your Game Plan.
Read the weekly graph
Each bar is a week of the season. Its height is the space your seedlings need that week, as a percentage of your nursery space. A red line marks the current week.
Hover over a bar to read the Area needed in square metres. The figure turns orange from 95% and red from 100%: that week, your tables are full.

Understand what fills a week
A planting enters the nursery on its nursery sowing date and leaves after its days in the nursery. If you pot it up, in the Game Plan with Add Potting Up, it moves into its Potting up container and takes that container’s space until transplanting. Heirloom also adds the safety margin of your plantings, the extra plants you sow in case of losses.
Solve a bottleneck
When a week goes over 100%, you have three levers: move a succession a week earlier or later in the Game Plan, sow in trays with more cells, or plan extra space, such as a temporary table or a cold frame. The graph updates as soon as the plan changes.
Count your trays
In the Containers tab, each row is a tray or pot size. Projected peak usage is the most trays of that size in the nursery at the same time: the number to own. Total use is how many you fill over the whole season: the number of trays to wash and seed. Open a row to see which crops and cultivars use it.

Find one format
Type in Search containers, for example 128 or paper pot, to keep only that format.
