Assign tasks to your team

Open your tasks
1 minute

Put a name on each task so everyone knows on Monday morning what is theirs, then let each person filter the week down to their own work.

Open the task

In Tasks, open the List or the Week Board and click a task. Its details open on the right.

Choose who does it

Click Assignee in the top row and pick a person, or Not assigned to free the task. Crew members and every role above them can be assigned; readers cannot.

Decide for a recurring task

If the task repeats, such as weekly weeding, Heirloom asks whether the change applies to This task only or to All tasks of the series still to come.

Assign when you create a task

A task you add by hand has an Assign to field: fill it in right away.

Show only your own tasks

Heirloom does not send a message when you assign a task: each person finds their work with the filter. Open the Assignee filter above the list and check your name: the list keeps only your tasks. Not assigned shows the tasks nobody has taken yet.

The same filter applies to the List and to the Week Board, and it stays in place until you clear it. If tasks seem to be missing, check Filters first.
