Should I plan in beds or in bed length?

In beds, if most of your beds are the same size: it is how market gardeners think, and every plan becomes quicker to read. At setup, answer Yes to the standard bed question, and you plan 11 beds of beets instead of 330 bed metres. Half a bed is 0.5.

If your beds vary a lot, answer No and plan in length.

You can switch later in Settings > Units & beds, where you also set your Standard Bed Dimensions. The classic setup from The Market Gardener is 30 in beds with 18 in paths, 100 ft long. See Set up your farm.
