How the Farm Map works
Open the Farm MapThe Farm Map is your farm drawn on its aerial view: the areas you grow on, and inside them your field blocks, greenhouses and tunnels. Every bed you draw here is a bed your plantings can go on.
Design before you build
On a small farm, every step counts. A compact layout, with beds of one standard size close to the wash station and the greenhouse, saves hours of walking over a season. Drawing it in Heirloom first lets you check the layout before you move a single bed.

Know the pieces
Farm area: a piece of land you grow on, such as the home farm or a leased field. You can have several, even kilometres apart.
Field block: a garden of parallel beds in the open field. Greenhouse: a permanent covered structure with its own beds. Tunnel: a caterpillar, mini or high tunnel placed over some beds of a field block, and moved from block to block over the years.
Beds: each field block and greenhouse is made of beds of the same width and length, separated by paths. They are the rows of your Crop Map.
Find everything in Growing locations
The list button at the top right opens Growing locations: your farm areas, field blocks, greenhouses and tunnels, each with the season it starts in. The pencil edits a location, the bin deletes it.

Understand how seasons work
Your map follows your seasons. A field block belongs to your farm from its Beginning year on, and a change you make applies to the season you are looking at and to the ones after it, never to the ones before. Add a block in 2027 and your 2026 season keeps the space it had, with its figures on the Dashboard and in the Game Plan.
Choose what the map shows
The settings button next to Add to map turns on or off the block names, the bed layout and the tunnels.
