Add seed lots from a purchase or an invoice

Add lots
2 minutes

Record the packets you just received, several at a time: lot number, organic status, quantity in seeds or by weight. Type them in, or let Heirloom read the seed company’s invoice.

Start a purchase

On Inventory, click Add, or open Add seed lots manually from its arrow. Pick the Seed company first: the cultivar lists then show that company’s catalogue. Set the Purchase date and, if you like, the invoice number in Reference.

Fill one row per lot

Choose the Crop and Cultivar, then the Quantity. Count in seeds, or switch to g, kg, oz or lb when Heirloom knows the variety’s seed weight; it converts to seeds once, when the lot is created. Add the Lot number printed on the packet and the Viability in months, which sets the expiry date. Turn on Organic, Untreated or Pelleted to match the packet. Add a crop adds a row; a cultivar missing from the catalogue can be created on the spot.

Create the lots

Click Create 3 lots (the count follows your rows). From its arrow, Save and continue keeps a draft you can finish later, and Create and start new empties the page for the next box. Each lot arrives in your inventory as a Purchase.

Or let Heirloom read the invoice

Open Imports, pick the Seed company, then drop the invoice on the card or click Choose file (PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB). Heirloom reads the lines and matches them to the company’s catalogue; you check each lot before creating it. Every invoice and manual entry stays in the list below, with its status.

Record purchased transplants

Switch the page from Seeds to Transplants to record plants you buy, in plants, with Grafted when it applies. Then open the lot, click Edit and choose its Linked planting: those plants now count as Purchased in Season needs.
