How do I leave the farm to my crew for a week?

Most of the handover is already done: Heirloom created the week’s tasks from your plantings, so your crew has the plan without you. What is left takes an afternoon, and you leave with less on your mind.

1. Put a name on each task: click it, then Assignee, and pick the person. See Assign tasks to your team.
2. Show each worker how to see their own week: in Tasks, Filters, Assignee, then their name. The Week Board then lays out their days.
3. Write your instructions in notes linked to the plantings or blocks they are about: a note linked to a planting shows up when someone opens that planting. See Link a note to a planting, crop or block.
4. Check each person’s role: a Crew member manages tasks without changing the crop plan, so the plan is the same when you come back.
5. If the crew prefers paper, click Export on the Week Board, pick the week and print the Excel file.

In the field, each person ticks off their work with Complete task in the mobile app, and you can see from afar what got done.
