Design your farm

How do I map a market garden with tunnels and a greenhouse?

Draw it once, and every bed, covered or not, becomes a place your plantings can go, with Heirloom showing which roof each covered crop goes under. Four steps on the Farm Map:

  1. Trace the land you grow on as a farm area: Draw your farm areas.
  2. Add your field blocks, which start from your standard bed: Create a field block.
  3. Add your greenhouse with its own beds, often with narrower paths: Add a greenhouse.
  4. Create your caterpillar, mini or high tunnels once, then place each over the beds it covers this season: Add tunnels to your field blocks.

Next year, move a tunnel and your past seasons keep where it was. On the Crop Map, plantings planned under cover show their structure, so each one goes under the right roof.
