Crops

What are a crop’s family and nutrient demands used for?

They help you plan your rotation and your soil fertility on the Crop Map, so you don’t carry it all in your head.

  • Family: the botanical family, behind the family colors of the Crop Map and each bed’s history of past families.
  • Nutrient demands: Low, Medium or High, so you can tell heavy feeders from light ones and keep two hungry crops from following each other in a bed.
  • Short name and Color: the short name shows on plantings too small for the full name, and the color paints the crop’s plantings on the Crop Map.

Change them any time with Edit crop, on your own crops and on Heirloom’s.
